When it comes to mahi fishing, we're all about the thrill of catching them all, not just one! Here's a glimpse into our action-packed day on the water:
1. **Trolling & Scouting**: We kick off by trolling and scouting for seaweed lines, patches, diving birds, or anything big and floating—like the NOAA weather buoy we stumbled upon. We only caught one mahi there, but the real action was yet to come.
2. **Hook Up & Hustle**: Heading back in for lunch, we spotted some random diving birds. We made a quick stop, and that's when the magic happened.
3. **Slow & Steady Wins**: Once we hooked up, we stopped instantly, tossed chum, and reeled in the other lines fast. Sometimes, we score another hook-up in the process! It always helps to keep one mahi in the water and keep tossing cut-up bait to keep them eating and more mahi will come.
4. **Cast & Conquer**: With all lines in, we cast our small spinners. This time, we hit the jackpot, finding a massive school. We usually catch around 10, but this day, we bagged around 30 mahi by those diving birds.
5. **Time to Eat**: With our 8-hour charter, we had plenty of time left over to stop by “The Cove” and have them cook up our catch. Within an hour, we were enjoying the freshest mahi meal imaginable!
Every trip is an adventure, and this one was unforgettable! 🐟🔥 #MahiMadness #FishingFrenzy #EpicCatch #OceanLife #AdventureAwaits
