What is the best season for fishing in South Florida?

South Florida offers year-round fishing. Winter (Dec-Feb) is prime for sailfish. Spring (Mar-May) is the best all-around season with calm seas and active species. Summer (Jun-Aug) brings mahi-mahi offshore and tarpon inshore. Fall (Sep-Nov) brings kingfish and tuna migrations.

We offer 4-hour ($595 Pompano / $895 Boynton), 6-hour ($895 Pompano / $1,195 Boynton), and 8-hour ($1,095 Pompano / $1,495 Boynton) private fishing charters. All trips include gear, bait, tackle, fishing licenses, ice, water, and fish cleaning.

Do I need a fishing license?

No. Your fishing license is covered under our charter's commercial license. You do not need to bring your own.

What fish can we catch on your charters?

Depending on the season and trip length, you can catch mahi-mahi, wahoo, kingfish, blackfin tuna, sailfish, amberjack, snapper, grouper, and barracuda. Inshore options include tarpon, snook, and cobia.

Can kids come fishing?

Yes, we love taking families fishing. Our charters are designed to be safe and fun for all ages.

How many people can come on the boat?

We accommodate up to 6 passengers per trip due to USCG regulations. This keeps the trip private and personal.

What is included in the price of the charter?

All charters include fishing licenses, bait and tackle, ice and bottled water, a USCG-licensed captain and crew, and fish cleaning and bagging at the end of the trip. Just bring sunscreen, snacks, and drinks.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 7 or more days before the trip receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable unless weather prevents the trip, in which case we reschedule or refund.

Where are you located?

We operate from two locations: 2901 NE 14th Street Cswy, Pompano Beach, FL 33062 (Hillsboro Inlet), and Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park, Boynton Beach, FL (Boynton Inlet).

Can we keep the fish we catch?

Yes, as long as the fish meet Florida size and species regulations. Our crew will clean and bag your catch so you can take it home or bring it to a local restaurant.

Why the Reefs Load Up in July

South Florida's nearshore reef system runs almost the entire length of the coast, from the patch reefs a mile off the beach to deeper ledges and wrecks sitting in 80 to 150 feet of water. In summer, warm water pushes bait onto that structure, and predator fish stack up right behind it. The Gulf Stream runs close to shore this time of year, so a lot of these spots are only a short run from Hillsboro Inlet or the Boynton Beach Inlet, which means less time driving and more time with lines in the water.
